14-15 November Review
Div1: Cosmos FC 2 – 0 Les Gaulois Paris Bangkok
In the only Saturday match not postponed by rain, Cosmos FC swam through Les Gaulois 2-0 in a match that at times resembled a Benny Hill skit due to the large amounts of standing water on pitch 1. Dale Jackson and Matthew Mensah provided a goal in each half to keep the French winless in their last 4 games.
Div1: Anatolia 2 – 3 Londoner
K. Nui powered Londoner to a 3-2 win over Anatolia in game that featured all 5 goals over the initial 25 minutes. The win moved Londoner into third on the league table with a 6-pointer against BCC scheduled for this Sunday.
Div2: Siam Celtic 2 – 2 iPlay
Siam Celtic finally dropped points as they had to settle for a 2-2 draw against a gritty iPlay team that equalized and held CEL with 10 men. Dylan Jones scored 2 goals against his old team as Siam Celtic maintained their 8 point lead atop Division 2.
Div2: Pickled Liver 1 – 1 Robin Hood
Robin Hood failed to take advantage of Siam Celtic’s dropped points with their second consecutive 1-1 draw. Tony Callaghan late second half goal preserved the point for Pickled Liver as they prepare to take on iPlay on Saturday in the bottle neck behind Siam Celtic.
Div2: Bangkok United 0 – 5 Samitivej Hospital
The most lopsided match of the weekend saw Samitivej manhandle the Japanese of Bangkok United 5-0. Everyone expected Bangkok United to compete for promotion this season, but their recent results haven’t indicated that they’re ready for Division 1 football in the near future.
